Manfred Bächler; CTO, Phoenix Solar AG
Born in 1963.
Studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and has been active in the photovoltaic industry since 1990. In 1995, after several years at an international consultancy focussing primarily on research and develoment of PV system technology, Manfred Bächler founded MHH Solartechnik GmbH, a company based in Ulm and focussing on PV plant construction. Simultaneously he served as an expert technical advisor to the “THERMIE Technical Management Programme” of the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for Transport and Energy (DG TREN). In the spring of 2000 Mr. Bächler became Phoenix Solar’s Chief Technology Officer. Manfred Bächler is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Phoenix Solar Energy Investments AG.
